The Helping Hands for Ukraine Program was initiated by HOPE worldwide Canada and HOPE worldwide Ukraine with the goal of improving the psycho-social situation of children affected by the war. Through this program, children learn how to deal with trauma caused by war and violence. The Canada-Ukraine Foundation has also provided a grant allowing HOPE worldwide Canada to equip 240 trainers-psychologists with the methods to provide therapy for 10,000 children in Ukraine.
In December of 2013, HOPE worldwide Philippines established 5 Centers of HOPE serving 10,000 children through creative activities, emergency supplies, essential nutrition and more. Donations given through HOPE worldwide Canada are used to support these children as well as fund the case management for orphans and vulnerable children in these centers.
HOPE worldwide Canada has sent funds to the Ashulia School of HOPE, in Dhaka Bangladesh, in order to purchase books, stationery, teaching materials, uniforms, midday meals and other school supplies for 25 students. With the funds, the school has also been able to hire a teacher, giving the students access to good quality education.
HOPE worldwide Canada has worked with it’s network member, HOPE Foundation in India, and over the years we’ve collaborated to help Support the Tigri School in Delhi, and the Asharan Orphanage in Delhi. HOPE worldwide Canada has also fundraised to supply India with food and medicine, during Covid 19.
HOPE worldwide Canada is a proud partner of HOPE worldwide Ltd. The organization begun in 1991 with just three small programs dedicated to bringing hope to vulnerable communities. Ivory Coast, Mexico and India. HOPE worldwide quickly expanded its reach, building relationships with organizations and mobilizing thousands of volunteers.
Today, HOPE worldwide serves more than 1.5 million people on every inhabited continent.
With the financial assistance of HOPE worldwide Canada, the HOPE Centre, Le Royaume des Enfants, in Abidjan, Ivory Coast was able to opened it's doors in 2013.
The HOPE Le Royaume des Enfants Centre provides services to vulnerable children and their families affected by war and the effects of HIV\AIDS. Each year, our Montreal Chapter fundraises in order to ensure the sustainability of the school.
