The life-changing Volunteer Corps welcomes individuals of all ages and backgrounds - teenagers, families, university students, singles, and empty-nesters. If you're 15 years or older and possess a passion for making a meaningful impact, you're eligible to join us!

We're on a mission to bring warmth, joy, and unforgettable experiences to these children in care and it’s in our summer day camp where God works powerfully through our volunteers. Our day camp is a sanctuary where smiles and laughter reign supreme. From arts and crafts to outdoor adventures, we provide a safe space for these children to create beautiful memories. With your support, we can offer them a summer filled with love, learning, and friendship.

But our mission goes beyond the day camp. When you're not spreading happiness at the camp, you'll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the vibrant and diverse local Winnipeg Church with its warm, welcoming family atmosphere where church members are just as involved as our dedicated Volunteer Corps participants. Together, we create a tight-knit community that extends love and support to all we encounter. It's not just volunteering; it's becoming part of an extended family, where everyone's contributions are valued and cherished.

How a HOPE Volunteer Corps works
When you register for HVC Winnipeg on the HOPE worldwide website, you will include references in your application and pay the $300 deposit fee. Once your application has been reviewed and accepted, you will later pay the remainder of the fee. The HVC fee covers:

1/4 Accommodation

1/4 Meals and local transportation
-
1/4 Service costs and recreational activities
-
1/4 Operational costs (processing fees, background checks,
site leaders' costs, application process, etc).
Participants are required to arrange their own transportation to/from Winnipeg and ensure they have proper medical and travel insurance.
HVC Winnipeg Schedule
You will arrive in Winnipeg on July 28th where you will be warmly greeted at the airport and escorted to your accommodations for the two weeks. From there, a full schedule of spiritual, service and fun activities will await you until you leave on August 10th.

July 28: Arrivals and orientation.

July 29: Training, camp set-up and activities.

July 30 to Aug 2: Serve at the day-camp, including multiple field trips. Dinner in disciples' homes, group devotionals, fun activities and rest in evenings.

Aug 3: Trip to Grand beach, Boodle Fight Night.

Aug 4: Church, fun activities and shopping.

Aug 5: Brunch and devotional with church leadership, camp set-up and Assiniboine Park trip.

Aug 6 - 9: Serve at day-camp, including multiple field trips. Dinner in disciples homes, fun activities, group devotionals and rest in evenings.

Aug 9: Celebration banquet
