“It’s a wrap!” ready to go and serve to our friends and guests at the Sunday Supper!

“It’s a wrap!” ready to go and serve to our friends and guests at the Sunday Supper!

The volunteers of the Halifax chapter of HOPE worldwide of Canada have been focused on bringing relief to the city’s needy since 2012, building on the strong serving foundation laid by the many volunteers of the Halifax Dartmouth Church of Christ going back to 1998. Some of the projects we have facilitated have included:

  • The Sunday Supper program. This is a weekly event in our community that provides a meal, a friendly face and conversation to approximately 200-250 disadvantaged individuals and families. We serve and support this community activity about 3-4 times a year, and many of our volunteers choose to serve on a more regular basis.
  • Operation Christmas Child. Our volunteers have helped assemble and decorate holiday gift packages for needy children in third world nations.
  • Remembrance Day and Christmas Letters of Encouragement. Our volunteers took some time to write notes and cards to some of the men and women serving in our armed forces overseas.
  • Community clean-ups.

For more information on these programs or to partner with HOPE Halifax, please contact greg.taylor@hopewwcanada.org,
